power output to laptop?
- Make sure the
Power TIP is correct.
- Make sure the
voltage requirements and settings are the
same.
- Follow the Quick
Start Guide to activate the laptop output.
2. No
power output to USB device?

the USB Port.

3. DELL
laptop displays the following message when
power is on:
¡°The AC power adapter type cannot be
determined.
Your system will operate slower and battery
will not charge.¡±
- DELL laptop can
determine that the POWER SLATE is not an
original factory equipment. The POWER SLATE is
a generic backup battery. The POWER SLATE
can still support the laptop operation,
but will not charge the laptop¡¯s internal
battery.
4.
Power/Battery tray icon in Windows OS
displays message of ¡°Power Plugged in,
Not Charging¡± ?
- When the laptop
identifies the plugged in adapter is not
original factory equipment, the internal battery will not
charge. The POWER SLATE can still support
the laptop operation, but will not charge the
laptop's internal battery.
5. The POWER SLATE
is charging the device, but cannot see
information on the Smart Display?
- The POWER SLATE
Smart Display will shut down automatically
after 60 seconds of no user input, to save energy. To
check the display, press any Selection
Button and the Smart Display will turn on.
6. The POWER SLATE
shuts down output when charging laptop?
- POWER SLATE
laptop maximum output is limited to 65W. If
the laptop draws power over this limit, the
POWER SLATE will shut down output, and shows
¡°Over Drive¡± on Smart Display for 60 seconds.
- Follow the Quick
Start Guide to reactivate the POWER SLATE.
7. If my laptop¡¯s
total power consumption is over 65W, can I
still use the POWER SLATE to charge
the laptop battery?
- Yes! You can
charge your laptop when it has shut down or
is in sleep or hibernation mode.
- The laptop total
power consumption includes its operation and
simultaneous internal battery charging. POWER
SLATE has enough driving capability to
refuel a laptop¡¯s battery.
8. Smart Display
shows ¡°Over Drive¡±, and no power output?
- When display
shows ¡°Over Drive¡±, the POWER SLATE¡¯s Power
Bay or USB Port has detected higher current.
For safety, POWER SLATE will suspend output
and wait for user to reactivate output.
- If display
repeatedly shows ¡°Over Drive¡±, please
contact Nexiom customer service.
9. POWER SLATE
cannot recharge?
- Make sure the
power adapter is correctly connected to the
wall outlet.
- Make sure the
power adapter is correctly connected to the
PORT and/or the correct PORT CONVERTER.
- Make sure the
Power PORT is fully plugged into the POWER
SLATE¡¯s Power Bay.
10. The POWER
SLATE charges slowly when supplying laptop
with power?
- POWER SLATE has
a Dynamic Charge Management design. The
POWER SLATE guarantees laptop operation
is priority; when laptop requires more
power, the POWER SLATE self-charge current is limited
to allow the power adapter and laptop to
both operate.
- Unplug the Power
TIP from laptop to resume fast charge to the
POWER SLATE.
11. The POWER
SLATE Smart Display is always lit?
- When an external
power adapter is plugged in to charge the
POWER SLATE and is supplying energy to the
laptop, the Smart Display stays lit.
12. If the POWER
SLATE is not used for an extended period of
time, and the power adapter is charging the
POWER SLATE, there is no display or power
output?
- The POWER SLATE
remains charged for over 180 days. If the
battery completely discharges, it is necessary to
charge for 1-3 hours to take the battery out
of low power safety mode. During this time, the Smart
Display will not display data and suspends
output until the battery recovers itself during the
charging period.
13. The POWER
SLATE displays ¡°Low Battery¡±?
- When the POWER
SLATE is in the recovering period, it will
display ¡°Low Battery¡± until the battery charged.
14. My laptop¡¯s
total power consumption over is 65W and I
need the POWER SLATE to support my work
on-the-go?
- Try to lower the
screen brightness.
- Disable the
laptop discrete graphic card.
- Try not to
access the internal DVD driver.
- Try to unplug
all external USB powered devices, such as
external HDD, external DVD driver, 3G/4G modem or
smartphone to reduce power consumption.
- Try to unplug
the laptop¡¯s internal battery, cutting off
internal charging power to reduce total power
requirements.
